Following the worship service on Sunday, February 5, First Methodist Carrollton voted 173 to 1 in favor of joining the Global Methodist Church, as recommended by the Church Council. We are excited to be joining this new expression of Wesleyan Methodist believers!
By joining the Global Methodist Church the mission, vision, and values of First Methodist Carrollton remains the same…”Filling every neighborhood with the Good News of God’s Love!”
As we move through this process, all information associated with this change will be made available to the congregation through the FMC’s eNews and will be posted on our website. The official date of disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church and affiliation with the Global Methodist Church is April 1, 2023.
