Update from Germany Mission

Dear Friends,

I pray that all of you are experiencing God’s abundant blessings and bringing glory to Him in all that you say and do. I wanted to give you a brief update on the first day of the baseball camp here in Aurich, Germany. We could not have had a better first day from a weather, preparation, or execution standpoint. It was beyond our imagination, and we continue to be amazed at God’s blessings and provision for this camp. The weekend had been cloudy and cool (low 60′), and we had not seen the sun much at all for the last three days. But the people here have experienced God’s blessings on the weather for the camp over the last three years so much, they all were convinced the weather would be good. This morning it was cloudy again, but I sensed that we would see the sun just before the camp started, and sure enough, about 5 minutes before the camp started, the sun came out. The temperature was in the low 70s all day and it was partly cloudy as well, so nobody got too much sun. It truly was amazing. I don’t have an exact count, but we have close to 100 participants and German Team Leaders. The two Bible Study times went well and all of the baseball stations went very well. The love of God is flowing through all of the leaders and service people at the camp, and it is a blessing to see all of the smiles. The American team has been greatly blessed, and all of us are looking forward to seeing all that God will do in and through us this week.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) we will have our first worship service, and a young man named Kayne Andrews (28) will be preaching. It will be the first time he has preached. So please be praying for him to be at peace and strengthened by the Lord to speak boldly what God wants to say through him.

All of your prayers are greatly appreciately, and we know the prayers of the righteous are always effective. May all of you continue to be blessed to be a blessing to each person you encounter each day.

On Mission with God,

Mike
