Update from the Aurich, Germany Team!

Published July 31, 2013 by First Methodist Carrollton in

We have received some updates from Dabney Grewe. Read below to hear about what the team is doing in Germany!

(From Sunday, July 28)

Today we had a worship service at Tannenhausen, which is where the camp is held. The service was combined from the FeG and the baptist churches. After the service we spent time visiting with people. Mark Scarborough was baptized at the lake which is a couple of blocks from the field area. Later today we had a meeting between the German and American leaders to go over some things before the camp starts tomorrow. It was supposed to rain today, but we had a nice day with some sunshine and clouds. The weather was cooler than it has been the last few days and was probably around the mid-80s. Tomorrow morning we will meet at 8:30am as leaders before the campers start arriving at 9am.

Please pray 1) that God will continue with the camp tradition of blessing us with good weather and that the rain won’t interfere with the camp, 2) that there will be no serious injuries, 3) that we will be able to reach the campers through both the baseball times as well as the Bible times, 4) and that God will direct conversations that are held. Tomorrow and Wednesday after the camp will be a time of worship music and some of the young Americans sharing their testimonies. TuesdayThursday, and Friday after the camp will be the traditional worship services. The tournament will begin on Thursday afternoon and finish on Friday.
