Missions Week is coming soon! We will be kicking it off on Sunday, February 13, and wrapping it up on Sunday, February 20. The theme for this year’s missions week is PRAYER. It’s something you can do whether you go or stay! It’s the thing that should be leading every effort we make, every plan we lay, and every dollar we spend!
This Sunday, you will receive a devotional booklet. Please take some time this week to go through it. It is a lot of content – I’d encourage you to be diligent but if it takes more than one day per lesson, take your time! It is a great word, taken largely from Jeff Lewis’ “God’s Heart for the Nations.”
We have a group coming from South Korea, where members from our church have gone to learn more about prayer in week-long seminars. They are excited about partnering with us in ministry.
Sunday, 2/13 – Pastor Jeong from South Korea to preach in the Sunday morning services. Sunday evening, we will be having a service of worship and prayer for the nations starting at 6:00.
Wednesday, 2/16 – A potluck will be held in the gym, immediately followed by a prayer service in the sanctuary. Member Richard Ramos is involved in a group called “Every Tribe” that seeks to unite congregations of different nationalities in the Carrollton/North Dallas area to do ministry together. We will be inviting people from a lot of local international congregations, so be sure to bring enough food to make them feel welcome!
Sunday, 2/20 – Jeff will be wrapping it up by preaching in the service.
Please be in prayer for this week. Also keep an open mind and heart for what God is doing in the nations through our church, and how he might want you to be involved.
