COVID lockdowns in Cambodia
Chiv In, Associate Pastor
Hi! I’m Pastor Chiv – greetings from Cambodia! All international travelers have to stay inside a hotel room for two weeks after arriving, and today is my last day of quarantine!
I’m scheduled to start traveling tomorrow, but COVID-19 is spreading strong in Cambodia now, so the government has made new laws. Some provinces won’t allow anyone to go through. They are saying no gatherings, no weddings, no celebrations, no worship, no birthday parties, and no schools. The government has tried to protect loved ones. If people go against that law, they will pay the consequences: money and time in prison.
I need to go to Battambang province, which is about 8 hours away from where I am now in Phnom Pehn, the capital city. They might stop me on the way.
Please keep our churches, the country of Cambodia, and me in your prayers. I am not sure what we will be able to do. But the power of prayer has been evident in your efforts to call on the Lord, and I am thankful for your help.
You are missed! I look forward to seeing you soon. May God bless you and your family’s lives as you have blessed mine.
Yours in Christ,
Chiv
Please be praying for Chiv to hear clearly from the Holy Spirit on where he should go, what they should do, and when they should do it. Pray for supernatural wisdom, protection, and unity among the church leaders and congregations.
