Everyone enjoys a good story, right? And all good stories have one thing in common. Every good story has “good content.” So if we know a good story, rich with amazing content, why wouldn’t we want to tell people about it? Easter is the exclamation point for the life of Jesus on earth and its content transforms those who hear it with joy.
In First Corinthians 15:1ff, Paul shares the summary of the Jesus story that he had proclaimed to those in Corinth. “…that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared tomore than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now…” (NASB) That is the core of the Gospel invitation that is at the heart of the content of the Gospel.
Can you imagine any story with better content than that? If it has been your experience that Christ “has come to you,” can’t you add your name to the list of witnesses?
So you will pass this story to whom? Everyone enjoys a good story with good content… many in the world are “just dying” to hear a good story that can also transform their life!
Are you willing to share this story? Today is a great day to tell that old, old story that is still “The Greatest Story Ever Told.”
Easter Blessings,
Doug
