Seeing Jesus – Together!

Hi, my name is Cindy, and I’m inviting you to join a core group during Lent. Core groups will meet from the week of February 21 to the week of March 28. This six-week Lenten series will align with Pastor John’s sermon series, “To Know Him More: Seeing the Real Jesus.” We will be studying about events that happened in the last two weeks in the life of Jesus, before the crucifixion and resurrection.
We have zoom core groups for men and women, and a core group for couples. A few core groups meet in the morning or afternoon. Many are at night, either at 7 pm or 8:45 p.m. One men’s core group that meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. is in person and on zoom.
In another Lenten emphasis, our children, their friends, and First Methodist Preschool will be participating in the Easter Explorers activity boxes. Boxes will be sent out in the next few days, so you still have time to go to firstchurch.net/events and sign up neighborhood children, grandchildren, or any kid you know. (FMC kids and preschool kids are already on the list!) Use this as an opportunity to have a box delivered to children you know as a means of filling every neighborhood with the good news of God’s love. There are seven weeks of Bible clues to look up and for the kids to explore as they search for the real Jesus. There will be fun activities and games in the boxes.
