First Church charters 3 Boy Scouts of America Scouting units; Pack 121, Troop 121 and Crew 121. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Grace Toastmasters is a ministry built on the renowned Toastmasters International, a self-paced, self-improvement educational training to develop effective communication skills and confident public speaking. Reaching out to people in the community, meetings take place from 6:45 - 7:45 a.m. on Thursday mornings in the Church Library. Toastmasters provides preparation and confidence to speak and ultimately allows participants share their personal faith effectively. Learn more here. Contact Rebecca Carpenter.
