Wesleyan Small Groups

This Fall, FMC Core Groups will read and discuss the book “The Class Meeting: Reclaiming a Forgotten (and Essential) Small Group Experience.” This study will help participants gain an appreciation for the small group model that led to significant growth and momentum for Early Methodists and how they can include this pathway to personal transformation in their own practice of discipleship. This model is still relevant for Methodists today, as it will help participants move into a deeper formational experience. Whereas classes and small groups based primarily on an informational model leave group members in awe of the expertise of the leader, the formational model of Wesleyan Small Groups empower every believer to live and share their faith. The expert in these gatherings is not the leader, but is instead the Holy Spirit. By focusing on transformational conversations rather than informational curriculum, the heart of our faith more easily flows through our everyday lives. Register for a group here.

Midweek Daytime Bible Studies

On Thursdays at 2 p.m., beginning September 14, Lori Kestila will facilitate an 8-week study of the Psalms via Zoom. Learn more and sign up at fmc.life.

Wednesday Night Connect

Wednesday Night Connect! New name, new times, same great activities for all ages… Starting September 6 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. This semester, we will not be offering a meal on Wednesday nights, so we’re bumping up the start time to help kids and families get home earlier.
