Well, hey there!
We know it can be intimidating to walk into a new church. Here's what to expect to help you reduce those nerves.
Our Services
Most people visit first on a Sunday, but we also have dinner and activities for all ages on Wednesday nights — Learn more about Wednesdays at First Methodist Carrollton. We have one service on Sunday at 10:30 AM which lasts about an hour. Music in our worship service is led each week by our band and vocal team and occasionally includes our worship orchestra and/or adult choir. We sing a mixture of new worship songs and historic hymns of the faith, a musical mix that allows people of all ages to connect to Jesus.
- In every service, we also pray together, read Scripture, and hear a message based on the word of God.
- The first Sunday of every month, we celebrate Holy Communion together. All are welcome to participate.
- Before the service, we have a fellowship time where you can meet people over coffee, tea, and/or donuts.
If you'd like to get to know people in a smaller setting, we also have Sunday classes you can check out at 9 AM! Take a look at what's going on each hour to make a plan for the morning.
For Kids (Infants to 4th Grade)
Whichever service you choose to attend, we have Our Kids Ministry is a place where kids meet Jesus, experience His love, and have fun while learning to be more like Him! We offer unique content for the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services, so if you come to worship and check out a Sunday class, your kids will get two complementary lessons, and lots of different games, activities, and songs.
We have a secure check-in system for infants-fourth grade. You and your child will get matching security stickers; it becomes their name tag, and you'll turn in your sticker to pick them up. Learn more about our children's ministry.
Older Kids (5th & 6th Grade)
We call our 5th & 6th Grade ministry "END Zone," and they meet upstairs during the 9 a.m. service.
Youth (7th – 12th Grade)
Our Youth ministry is for students in grades 7 – 12. They typically meet upstairs at the end of the hallway at 9 a.m. for small groups and then join the worship service at 10:30 a.m. where they often sit together at the left side of the room (stage-right if you're into that).
