Below is an update from Sharon Roelke, who is currently in Kenya with Bridges International.
Jambo! Thank you all for praying, I can really see and feel your prayers. After team meetings the last two nights we were really able to come together as a team. The weather has even cooled a little. We helped do some light construction on a church, visited a babies’ home this morning, a Methodist ministry here and a Catholic childrens home this afternoon that had over 600 children. The number of orphans can be overwhelming. Our time with the babies and children was just holding and playing with them and saying prayers over them. I think we were able to bless and encourage some of the church members with our willingness to work and help. Continue to pray for Bridges; the things we have heard so far are not encouraging. All of the stuff has been moved off the compound and basically stolen by the former director. After the team leaves, Ann, Bob and I will be trying to sort things out.
Love, Sharon
